Its large, circular, graceful movements are extremely gentle, to reduce stress, enhance flexibility, and increase strength. A simple description of Tai Chi states: “Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese martial art that is used today as an exercise/health program based on balance.” Tai Chi is often referred to as “moving meditation”. Tai Chi improves strength, flexibility, balance, and mental focus. It is an effective exercise program for people of all ages and fitness levels.
