Jen is a reformed Bikram yogi who brings compassion and humor to her teaching. Her classes focus on functional movement, strength building, and creating balance in the body. She will definitely mention the laws of physics, managing expectations, and all the dogs she knows.
The meaningful part of yoga practice for Jen is understanding her body and how it's designed to move and function. She tries to apply physics and logic to her practice to make it more productive and less frustrating. She also enjoys the strength that comes from her practice and applying that strength to things outside of yoga.
When not in the yoga studio, Jen is often outdoors and is an avid Master Gardener volunteer. She can throw down at karaoke and is well acquainted with a sizeable cross-section of dogs in Lexington through pet sitting.
